Directly inspired by local aviation clients and the need for an industry-approved online safety and operational application, Avinet was established in 2005 to develop Air Maestro. The company has since expanded into other transport sectors, with operational and safety web-based applications Rail Maestro and Road Maestro. Air Maestro is Avinet’s leading product and is supported by alliance partners across the globe.

Chief Executive Officer
Aleks has gained over 15 years of consulting experience in a range of sectors including IT, Finance, Manufacturing, Education, Aviation and Government since graduating with a double degree in Bachelor of Computer and Information Science and Bachelor of Arts (Multimedia & Psychology). Key competencies include business process analysis, account management, training and technical writing.
Aleks spends her free time with her husband Simon and two year old son Darcy. She also enjoys cooking, wine and travelling.
Paul has over 25 years experience in the IT industry, working within the IT sections of companies like Woolworths, KPMG and Galaxy TV. Paul founded Comunet in 1995 and works hands-on within the business, performing consulting services for Comunet’s clients. Paul has extensive experience assisting and guiding clients with their ICT strategy and technology challenges. Paul is actively involved in the operations of the company to ensure that the services provided to both Comunet and Avinet’s clients are of the highest standard.
Software Development Manager
Matt graduated from Adelaide Uni in 2005 with a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Information Technology and Telecommunications, in addition to a Bachelor of Maths and Computer Science. Matt commenced work at sister company Comunet in December 2013 and was part of a variety of client projects including the Heli Air Portal, which is now Air Maestro. During his time at Comunet, Matt was a mentor to the development team and through his strong technical focus, he became Lead Developer. From January 2015, Matt was appointed Software Development Manager at Avinet and has been responsible for the growth of the team and future product developments.
Greg brings over 20 years IT experience working across various industries including finance, ecommerce, agriculture and training. Most recently managing the redevelopment of banking systems he has worked as a developer, enterprise architect and team leader and employs a positive attitude and a focus on user and business outcomes that will help progress the Air Maestro product strategy.
Growing up in country South Australia, Greg enjoys spending time with his friends and family away from the city, with a fondness for good food, wine and a game of cricket.
Customer Support Manager
Nina joined the Avinet team in 2016 and has a Bachelor of Information Technology from Flinders Uni and previously worked at Infor as a Software Developer. Nina also worked for the SA Government in IT Support and has also done some Business Management for a small primary school.
Customer Support Analyst
Liam joined Avinet in 2018 and has a Bachelor of Information Technology (Game and Entertainment Design) which he completed at University of South Australia . He was previously contracted with DXC Technology (formerly Hewlett Packard Enterprises) as IT support for the Commonwealth Bank (South Australian Branch).
Liam usually spends his free time playing video games, developing video games or looking after his pet rabbits Leeloo and Luna and cat Dinah.
Customer Support Analyst
Prageeth became a member of the Customer Support team in mid-2019. A lifelong interest in aviation motivated him to pursue studying at UniSA and receive his Bachelor of Civil Aviation in 2011. Prageeth has previous work experience in a variety of customer service roles as well as property services management.
Outside of work, Prageeth enjoys cricket, video games and listening to audio books.
Customer Support Analyst
Darcy joined Avinet in late 2019, after completing a Bachelor of Business: Management of Information Technology in April of 2018. He enjoyed his previous employment in the wine industry as it was a keen interest of his. Darcy wishes to continue down this path of Business and Information Technology with a focus on strong communication.
You may find Darcy going for a run around the Parklands or Torrens river. Otherwise, he is enjoying video games, podcasts or listening to live music.
Software Development & Infrastructure
Martin started working at Avinet in December 2007, after completing his Bachelor of Software Engineering at Uni SA. For the project component of the final year of his degree in 2007, Martin worked on the first version of the exam module for Air Maestro, which led to Martin starting at Avinet.
Outside of work, Martin enjoys watching or playing almost any sport, including sport-related video games. As a result of his love of sport, Martin enjoys spending several hours at Adelaide Oval watching the cricket and the Adelaide Crows. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching super hero related TV shows and movies.
Lucas joined the Avinet team in 2019 and specialises in System Administration with various industry experience in MSP and finance/software companies. Lucas enjoys connecting people with technologies through different practices and methodologies to break down silos.
In his spare time, Lucas enjoys playing soccer and is a supporter of the AC Milan club in Serie A.
Mark has been with Avinet since 2017 and has been a Software Development Engineer for 7 years working for other local Adelaide businesses. Mark grew up in Mildura, Victoria and has lived in Adelaide since 2008.
Mark is also a budding actor, making a mark in the local theatre scene and also on screen in some TV commercials and short films. In his spare time Mark enjoys camping, hiking, go-kart racing and computer gaming.
Graduate Software Developer
Matthew is a recent graduate from University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Information Technology (Software Development). He has been a Team Member at KFC for two years before starting his new journey as Graduate Developer at Avinet.
Matthew enjoys reading, drawing and painting in addition to freelance photography, where he specialises in events.
Paul has been in the IT industry for over 25 years working for a variety of industries including television, retail and IT consultancy. The large majority of Paul’s career has been providing IT consultancy and the implementation of new and emerging technologies to a wide range of clients. Paul has been involved with Avinet’s infrastructure from day one and has maintained a client first approach while working with all areas of the business to deliver the best outcome for Avinet’s clients.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring new technologies.
Business Development, Marketing & Admin
Dan has been with the Avinet team since 2015. Dan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Marketing) at UniSA and has previously worked at BankSA, Adam Internet and Hewlett Packard. He considers himself a sports fanatic with a passion for basketball, football, soccer and martial arts and an interest in keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
Marketing & Communications
After graduating from University of South Australia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communications in 2011, Bianca joined the Avinet team that same year. She is currently studying a second Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design at RMIT. She also has over 7 years of work experience in many customer service roles.
Outside of the office, Bianca enjoys travelling, reading, visiting art galleries and spending time with her niece and nephew.
Finance & Accounts Officer
Sandra joined the Avinet team in 2019, she has 11 years’ experience working as finance officer and financial accountant across the education, retail and building industries. Sandra is skilled in financial accounting, budgeting and planning. She won The Commerce Prize for the Most Distinguished Master of Commerce Graduate in 2009 from University of Adelaide and graduated in June 2010 with a Master’s degree of Accounting and Marketing. Sandra also completed the CPA program in June 2016 and is a member of CPA Australia.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking her three young boys out to play and watch movies and is a big fan of doing fitness exercises such as boxing and Zumba!
