From the CEO

authorWelcome to our special 10th Anniversary edition of our Avinet newsletter.

It has been a busy few months and not just for the Avinet team but for the aviation industry. Featured below are some of the prevalent topics that are worth a mention:

UK Visit
I attended the combined Heli Expo UK/Aero Expo UK Conference at Sywell Aerodrome as well as the HeliOps Conference at Battersea London during the first week of June. Our Air Maestro solution generated great interest from UK's aviation professionals and enthusiasts at both shows.

Opportunity in Myanmar
Following a successful compliance audit of a customer in Myanmar, Avinet was invited by the Regulator to present Air Maestro to its staff and AOC Holders on the 15th of June. We thought the presentation was successful and we look forward to working with the Myanmar aviation community in the future.

Avinet Welcome & Farewell
We welcome Software Development newcomer, Darshan Shetty to the Avinet team. Darshan has had over 6 years experience in software analysis and development roles. See below for more information about Darshan.

We sadly say goodbye to Admin Assistant Arabelle Turville who brought a youthful flair to the office. We wish her all the best in her new role. If you or someone you know is interested in an admin position with the Avinet team, you can apply here.

On another note, we welcome back Phil Wu who has temporarily re-joined the team as fill-in Admin Assistant. He will only be in the office until 3rd July so make sure you have a chat with him soon.

I hope that you find value in the information provided in this newsletter and should you like further information on Air Maestro please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Mike Mulvihill | CEO

News

NewsCASR 61 Changes
The discussion between CASA and the Operator Groups regarding CASR 61 has been interesting and will hopefully lead to both better communication and clearer operational changes. Air Maestro is continually being amended to incorporate the changes required.

Onsite Training
The Avinet team has been keeping busy with an increase in onsite customer training sessions. Some of our team have trained in Victoria and Perth this month, and then will train in Tasmania next month. If you think your operation would benefit from onsite training, please send us an email helpdesk@avinet.com.au.

10th Year Anniversary Celebrations
Avinet is excited to announce that we have been providing safety and operational management solutions and fantastic customer service to our clients for the past 10 years. We would like to thank our customers for contributing to the success that we are today. Without your patience, input and consistent feedback, Avinet could not have assisted over 8,000 users in 25 countries with their resource planning, safety management, reporting and operational control. The team, along with parent company Comunet, will celebrate the acheivement at a Gala Dinner on 19th September. Stay tuned to see how you can join in on our celebrations throughout the year, including a Facebook Competition.

Testimonials

"The team are proactive and clever at it, the software is dynamic and customisable and the processes are consistently logical, Air Maestro has provided the platform [that] our Quality Systems and Operational processes were begging for and as we continue to migrate our paper based systems into it we find more and more useful processes and aspects to the software.
