Air Maestro Newsletter June 2010

Welcome to our regular Avinet newsletter where our aim is to keep you up-to-date on the latest developments to the Air Maestro system and related information from customers and team.

From the Development Team
Since our last newsletter, we have released version 2.4 of Air Maestro which addressed a number of enhancements and new features, brought to our attention by your continual feedback. We appreciate the time you take to make suggestions about our product and we log, review and consider each suggestion. We then plan our upgrades using a combination of considerations which in turn will provide overall product improvements for our customer base. A summary of enhancements which were released in version 2.4 were made to the following core system modules:

  • Document Library & Alerts
  • Personnel Details
  • FAID® and FAID2®
  • Safety & Risk Register
  • Timesheet Sign-off and Logging
  • Prior Sleep Wake Model
  • Compliance Report

Global Expansion Update
Our customer base has expanded further and now includes the following countries. These countries are serviced by our datacentres located in Australia and the UK.
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Papua New Guinea
  • Angola
  • United Kingdom

We have also had significant interest from South Africa, Hong Kong and Canada. To meet this increasing demand we have expanded our alliance partner network beyond the UK and we have now established partners in South Africa, Hong Kong and USA.

Air Maestro (version 2.5) is planned to be released to customers in July 2010. This is a small release focused on a handful of specific changes. We are also working in parallel on a redesign of the Safety Management System which will be released later in 2010. The Upcoming Enhancements section briefly covers the improvements in these releases.

Australian Datacentre Upgrades
Our IT infrastructure team has been diligently working on the systems which deliver Air Maestro. They've been implementing new technology to further increase system capacity, improve performance and enhance the disaster recovery and backup systems already in place. Over the next few months additional changes will be made to continue enhancing the performance and delivery of services to our customers.

Upcoming Enhancements

Release 2.5 Timesheet Tasking & Work Practice Controls
The tasking options within the Timesheets will be extended to allow a expanded breakdown of flight data recorded for personnel. The tender process for our customers will be improved with easier access to specific task data recorded in Timesheets such as firebombing, winch, long line operations, etc. The Work Practices will have several new controls added to support various requirements from Domestic High Capacity operations to supporting Flying Duty Period (FDP) limitations.

Release 2.6 Custom Safety ReportsAvalon 09
Based on customer feedback Air Maestro’s Safety Module will be overhauled to provide custom report types with custom fields in each report type. The changes will flow into the investigation process which will be less restrictive and also promote greater links between the Audit and Hazard modules. We will also be revising the reporting and trending capabilities to ensure that the new data is more accessible than the old. For all existing customers the current Occurrence Reports will be migrated into the new system during the deployment process to ensure that existing data is not lost.

Testimonial

"There's no question it's as important to demonstrate you have robust systems in place as it is to show a good operational record. Safety and compliance is the backbone of our business and one that we have built a growing customer base and enviable reputation upon. It's a reputation we fiercely want, and will look to protect with tools like Air Maestro."
