Air Maestro® Newsletter June 2009

Welcome to the June 09 quarterly newsletter from Avinet - Australia's premier aviation software company. Our aim is to keep you up-to-date on the latest developments to the Air Maestro® system and give you special insight into the company that is revolutionising Safety, Efficiency and Compliance based aviation software.

We are pleased to announce that we have had strong growth and doubled our customer base over the past 6 months.

We have also commenced our international expansion and have our first customer using Air Maestro® in New Zealand. Our customer growth has been in both rotary and fixed wing operators.

Due to the superior features of Air Maestro®, including the easy-to-use interface, rich functionality and integrated modules, operators are seeing the benefits of centralising information, reducing duplicate entry and increasing control over their personnel and business, thus resulting in improved safety management practices.

With our ability to provide remote (over the Internet) demonstrations and quickly establish functional trial sites, interested operators are able to get a feel for Air Maestro® and fully explore its features and functionality with no obligation to purchase.

Over the next few months, we will be expanding our support capabilities and also our marketing activities both in Australia and internationally. We have detailed in the following sections information on our upcoming release 2.2, new modules under development, event and marketing activities and information on some of our key partners.

Should you be interested in speaking with our team about Air Maestro®, please don’t hesitate to contact us or review our website.

Recent Enhancements
•  InterDynamics have released FAID® v2.0 which aims to provide more visibility of fatigue levels over the duration of a shift.
Air Maestro® now supports FAID® v2.0 and when enabled, it shows new features particular to FAID® v2.0. Due to the increased visibility of the FAID® score within an hour, you can now set Work Practice Limitations to look at the time spent in the FAID® conditions rather than the peak FAID® score.
For instance, you can specify that in a 28 day period personnel must spend 95% of the time in the green FAID® condition. Additionally, you are now able to see a graph of each person’s FAID® score over a day or week, showing the time spent in each band.

•  The Air Maestro® Safety Module has been enhanced with the inclusion of a Risk Register. Identified risks in your operation can be reported, tracked and searched. There is also the facility to add controls and mitigating actions for each risk, as it is investigated or reviewed.

•  As a result of requests from several customers, a new Recency Check Form feature has been incorporated into the Recency Module. Recency Managers can create custom checklists to track individual items that need to be demonstrated during a particular check (e.g. night check, instrument flight etc). During the check, a print-friendly version of the form can be printed out and comments can be noted and then uploaded into Air Maestro®. The Recency Manager can then update which recency items have been achieved during the check and this is automatically reflected in the personnel recency screen.
Upcoming Modules
Flight Records
The Flight Records module has been extended to include custom fields, enabling your organisation to setup the required fields for customer, billing and aircraft tracking.
Fields contained in the Flight Records module have also been enabled in the Reporting area to allow for custom reports. The Flight Records and Timesheet modules are now seamlessly integrated, where changes to flights in either section will be reflected in the other.
